Dancing has always been the pulse of my life. From performing to Boney M as a child to the clubs of Rotterdam and Ibiza: dancing and making mixtapes were my greatest joy. Until, in 2001, everything fell silent. After a collision, I spent seventeen years living with an overstimulated nervous system. What seemed like whiplash turned out to be PTSD. It was only in 2018 that I found my way back to sound and movement.
At 55, I decided to share this healing experience. After training in Bali and deepening my technical skills in the Netherlands, I learned the art of moving through music. For me, creating a set is not a fleeting moment of improvisation — it is a process of months. The dancer's journey is too important to leave to chance.
I work in stages: I choose music that personally moves me, music I can dance to myself. I experiment, let the music rest, and only on the dance floor do I feel which of my prepared sets is right for that moment.
As a facilitator, I am aware of what music does to the nervous system. I play tracks as fully as possible and make use of liminal space — that quiet in-between where you can truly land and transform.
Whether tired, joyful, or sad: I receive you with open arms. Let yourself be carried by a blend of (Afro/Latin/Organic) house, soul, blues, crossover classical, ambient, world music, reggae, folktronic, and nu-jazz.
